How text reminders from BeReminded work.
What you are signing up for
BeReminded sends recurring automated reminder texts for the reminders you set up. You only receive texts for reminders where you chose text as the delivery method. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of creating an account, using email reminders, or making a purchase. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.
Consent
The opt-in flow requires a separate, initially unchecked consent box and your mobile number. Check the box when saving your first text reminder. You do not need to send a text to enroll. Consent is remembered for later reminders to the same number; a different number requires fresh consent. Consent records include the disclosure version and timestamp. An enrollment confirmation includes the program details.
How often
Message frequency depends on the reminders you set. Some people get one text a year. Some get a few a month. You are in control — every text maps to a reminder you created.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier sets those rates, not us.
How to stop
Reply STOP to cancel reminder texts. STOP prevents new reminder texts from being authorized. A text already authorized for processing may still arrive after STOP; an accepted message cannot be recalled. Your provider may send an opt-out confirmation. To opt back in, give fresh consent when choosing text delivery. Texts remain paused until any provider opt-out block is resolved. You can also switch any reminder back to email, or remove it, from your account. Reply HELP to any text for help.
Your number
We use your mobile number to deliver the reminders you asked for. We do not sell your number or share your number or SMS consent with third parties or lead generators for their own marketing. Twilio processes your number and messages to provide SMS delivery. See our Privacy Policy for necessary service-provider processing and other disclosures.
